Enchong Dee maintained that he’s not bothered by Julia Montes’s team-up with Coco Martin and the fact that they’re expected to do a lot of intimate scenes in ABS-CBN’s newest primetime soap, Walang Hanggan. “No, I’m really happy for the two of them like kunyari kay Julia mature yung role na gagampanan niya and kay Coco super love story naman. At ang daming nagsasabi na maganda yung kinalabasan ng pilot episode nila,” he said in a recent interview with Push.com.ph.
Enchong further shared that he’s good friends with Coco since they previously worked together in the movie Sa ‘yo Lamang. “Nung nagkatrabaho kami sa Sa ’yo Lamang, sabi niya sa akin, ‘Basta kung may gusto kang gawing indie film, sabihin mo lang, tutulungan kita, bibigyan kita ng advice kung okay ba.’ He's like an older brother to me.” When told that Coco was once romantically linked with Julia, he simply replied, “Single naman siya, bakit hindi ‘di ba?”
Nevertheless, Enchong defended Julia from people who don’t approve of her pursuing a mature role at her young age. “Hindi naman siya daring. Kasi yung mentality sa daring bastos agad. Kumbaga, daring in a way na more than her age yung role. Ang masasabi ko lang kay Julia, congratulations, kasi yung ibang artista nahihirapan makawala from being a teenybopper, pero siya ngayon nag-level up na talaga sa Walang Hanggan.”
