Phil Younghusband said that he is happy about rumored girlfriend Angel Locsin’s upcoming movie with John Lloyd Cruz, Unofficially Yours under Star Cinema. “Excited ako sa bagong pelikula niya, sobrang masaya ako [para] sa kanya,” said the Filipino-British football star, who did his best to talk in Filipino at the press conference of his latest endorsement with brother James, Aronamin Gold Multivitamins.
In the said movie, Angel and John Lloyd have love scenes and Phil was asked if he was bothered that Angel was required to do such scenes. “Walang problema kasi sobrang professional si Angel and artista siya so it’s work for her, walang problema,” he justified.
It has been almost a year since the Azkals player made his first move towards Angel by asking the actress out on a Valentine date through the social networking site, Twitter. Angel thanked Phil also via Twitter but declined the offer. However Phil’s audacity has come a long way because he and Angel are now vocal about being in love with each other. “One year na, Valentine’s Day malapit na. I don’t know what to say but masaya ako that it lasted, and we’re still together.”
Since Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, Phil was asked about the date he and Angel plan to have. “Surprise, secret,” he answered followed by a laugh.
Phil also suggested that his gift for Angel need not to be expensive or luxurious to make it meaningful. “Everyday I love Angel more and more and I think Angel, no matter whatever I get her, she’ll be happy. It’s always sentimental, so Angel is happy no matter what I get her.”
While they are vocal about their love for one another, the couple still refuse to put label on their relationship. “Hindi ko alam ‘yung tamang label or title pero alam ko, sobrang masaya siya ngayon. Hindi ko pa rin alam, wala pa ring title or status but we’re very happy and sana it continues… I mean me and Angel [when] we talk, we’re officially together pero walang title,” Phil explained.
