After a long break after his hit teleserye Lobo, Piolo Pascual makes a guest appearance in Komiks Presents: Mars Ravelo's Nasaan Ka Maruja. According to the show's management and creative heads, this was part of the plan since day one and they had to exert effort to keep it a secret.
Piolo's mysterious character will be present in Cristy's (Kristine Hermosa) dreams and flashbacks. In an interview with ABS-CBN.com, Nini Matilac, Maruja's creative head said that Piolo will be seen in the series starting June 20. “From tonight, papalaki ng papalaki yung participation niya. Kasi ang dilemma, merong third person or third guy na magsa-start mambulabog at magiging palaisipan yan. Sino ba siya? Siya ba ay reincarnation ni John Estrada na ngayon ay na si Michael? Siya ba ang pumatay? Siya ba si Gabriel? These are the questions that we will let linger throughout the rest of the series.”
On working with Kristine, the ultimate heartthrob revealed that Maruja is like a reunion for them after ten years. “We've been very good friends. Napaka-bata pa lang namin nagkasama na kami sa Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ko and I've seen her evolve. She's fun to work with, very gracious, kahit ano ipagawa mo, kaya.” Piolo also mentioned that for him, Kristine is one of the top three most beautiful women in show business. “Si Kristine lalong gumanda, ‘di ko alam kung saan nanggagaling ang ganda niya. Kahit saang anggulo. Even when she cries, she's still pretty,” Piolo expressed.
Piolo has a lot of things on his plate this year. Right after the Star Magic tour, he will continue to tape for Lover's In Paris which is set to air in August with his leading lady KC Concepcion.
